8th Hospital Hygiene Congress

The biannual international Hospital Hygiene Congress will take place on 13th and 14th October 2010 in Villach for the eighth time. Under this years general topic „Hygiene – routine and emergency“ 19 lectures will be given by speakers from seven different countries. They will present current scientific and practical insights in dealing with the topic.

A special characteristic of this international congress is the possibility of exchanging experiences on a high international level. Speakers from Belgium, Italy, Slovakia, Germany, England, Finland and Austria are expected.

Dr. Alois Schwarz, bishop of Carinthia, will open the hygiene congress with the impulse-setting lecture „Hygiene for body and soul, environment and mental activity - spiritual prospects and Christian remarks”. The illumination of spirituality in a medical and nursing context will allow all participants to see the comprehensive subject matter “hospital hygiene” in a special way.

Host of the Hospital Hygiene Congress is the Villach Regional Hospital in cooperation with the Sanicademia – International Academy for Health Professionals. The language of the congress is German, but all speeches will be simultaneously translated into Italian and English. During an exhibition the participants will have the possibility to acquire information regarding the latest services and products of numerous suppliers operating in the health care sector.

The host and the hygiene team wish all participants two pleasant and informative days at the Hospital Hygiene Congress in Villach.
